Release your energy with Kundalini Yoga

 

HOW CAN KUNDALINI YOGA IMPROVE MY ENERGY LEVELS?

 

Kundalini YogaKundalini Yoga is a great way to increase the flow of energy in your body while maintaining overall health and strength. The phrase literally means “coiled” and is depicted as a sleeping snake, located in an area towards the base of the spine. The purpose of the Kundalini practice is to awaken the snake and to release its power. It is one of the best ways to energize the body through breathing, stretches and poses that encourage blood flow and healing energy. Try some of these simple poses to re-energize the body, stretch your muscles, focus the mind, and relieve pain.

Lets get started! Kundalini Yoga is generally practiced barefoot. Wear loose and comfortable clothing that covers your shoulders and spine.

Mountain Pose 

...is excellent for aligning the spine and restoring balance. 

Stand with your feet hip-width apart, abdomen tight, tailbone pulled in toward your core. With your shoulders set and your neck extended, raise your arms above your head, palms facing each other, and stretch from the armpits. Breathe slowly and deeply for 10 counts.

Breath of Fire Pose

... will purify and oxygenate your whole body, preparing you for more Kundalini Yoga poses to release your energy.

Sit with your legs crossed and your body stable with your arms raised in a V pose. Face your palms forward, curl your fingers in, and extend your thumbs slightly. Take a full breath and exhale with a sharp tensing of the abdominal muscles, repeating this 10 to 20 times.

Bridge Pose

...will help energy flow through your lower back and thighs as you strengthen your core and clear your mind.

Lie on your back with your feet flat on the ground about one foot from your buttocks. Contract your core and buttocks and curl your pelvis up toward the sky, pressing your upper back into the ground. Now slowly lift your back off of the ground with your arms by your sides, palms down. Hold your weight on your shoulders and feet for 1 to 2 minutes in this diagonal plank position.

Classic Warrior One

kundalini yoga...will always center your body and mind and is easy to maintain. No matter how tense you are. 

Stand with your right foot in front, toes forward and your left leg straight behind you, pointed to the side. Slowly bend your front knee and keep your back leg straight. Extend your arms over your head, palms together, and hold for 30 seconds before switching.

Try those powerful Kundalini poses to release your energy. In combination with the right diet, body and mind can achieve incredible harmony together.
